New to me '48

Postby Figo40 » Fri Sep 14, 2018 11:17 am

Hi guys,
Just picked up this 48 cub, runs great! the rear tires are mismatched but I can swap them with my 54. My 54 is dead by the way, I was having starting issues actually it would not even turn over. I worked through that and finally was able to get a good compression check. The highest I found was 50lbs,
one cylinder was at 25 so I got this 48 to replace it for less than an engine rebuild will cost. Not sure what I will do with the 54 yet.

Nice score. Was this on the local Craig's List? I haven't browse the St. Louis CL ads recently, as I'm pretty well set...for now.

I hope to see you in Fredricktown the end of the month for Cub-Arama.

I believe I saw that CL add. Looks like a decent tractor.
