Let the Games Begin

Postby TallCoolOne58 » Fri Nov 09, 2018 1:33 pm

Guess I finished up my Cub just in time. Looking out the kitchen window, snow is falling, pretty steady. Forecast says 3-5" of wet heavy snow from 4am-10pm tomorrow.

So, tomorrow's iternerary will consist of getting the tire chains on and plowing slop. That's ok, it will give me a chance to play with the Cub, and enjoying the fruits of my labor.

Kinda looking forward to it. Let's see what ole Lulubelle can do.

Sounds like fun. Just remember, the ground is not frozen yet so be careful not to make too many divots...

I thought divots were from swinging a golf club and striking the ground and ball. But ruts are left from driving over wet sloppy ground. Oh well north vs south I guess. :)

Absolutely, ruts in the lawn are definitely one of the snow plowing hazards right now. Ground isn't frozen yet. But, if you don't plow, that sloppy mess will freeze as is. Take your pick.

When your plow digs in and rolls up a chunk of sod. That's a divot. A Cub just swings a bigger club! 8)

If I'm swinging that golf club, it's going to be a rut!

Well, not to jinx myself, so far no snow. Not that I'm complaining mind you. Once it starts snowing here it's too dumb to know when to quit. I live very near the eastern shore of Lake Ontario, in the country. We have long, cold and snowy winters here. The wet snow that fell yesterday slowly melted off. It's still only 33 degrees outside as I post this.
