Difference between the Super Chief HSCG and SCX Bottoms

Postby J3 Driver » Fri Dec 07, 2018 10:27 am

Besides part numbers how can one tell the different between the HSCG and SCX supercharged plow bottoms. I’m resting my son’s L-F194 plow and need to order some plow bolts and maybe a new share and shin. Mine are so rusted I can’t see any numbers. The only think I can see on the moldboard is the letters “JV”

Thanks

Keith

Autocorrect giving you a hard time today?

From what I see in the book, the only differences between those 2 bottoms are the moldboard, shin, and the bolts that hold those two parts. The HSCG uses 7/16 bolts and the SCX uses 3/8. Measure the old bolts to see what diameter they are.

Looks like I have the SCX. don’t have the bolts anymore but the 7/16ths won’t fit through the holes.

Thanks. Off to the local dealers.
