Front Weights

Postby Brandon Webb » Fri Dec 07, 2018 2:04 pm

Did they make front weights that were different from standard cub weights for the 154,184 and 185 series tractors? Thanks

The parts catalogs show the same wheel weights, front and rear, for both the standard and numbered Cubs.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Probably depends on whether it's equipped with ag or turf tires. It appears most of the number series were equipped with turf tires and I cannot imagine F cub weights fitting those wheels.

I was wondering about that, then decided to look it up in the parts manuals.

My 154 with front and rear turf, balloon tires, is in a seperate shed, in winter storage. It will be spring before I put the 154 and my standard Cub side by side to check and see it the wheel weights will exchange.

Should note that the numbered Cub parts manual shows the different style rims, but only one set of wheel weights.

I don't think they fit the turf rims on the front or the big balloon style turf tires on the rear.
The numbered series "can be" equipped with the skinny tire rims that can be outfitted with weights. (both front and rear)
Edit: Below

Check out these weights that Mortgage found and mounted to his 184 with the balloon turf tires. It's about 1/2 way down this thread.

No idea what they were originally made for.

the numbered cub loboys (154-185-184) did not have front frame (suitcase style) weights as an attachment from IH.
