I have finally accepted that I wasn't dreaming, and Dad's Farmall H is really home, and to stay. Cub-Bud sent me a list of those involved, but I have no way to get in touch with all of you except here, so Thank You, from the bottom of my heart. I still can't understand why the bunch of you picked me to do this for, but I am sure glad you did. If anyone was missed on this list, please forgive me, it was not intetional.

Well, John....

One could say many things......

It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.....But that wouldn't be accurate.... :D :D

No one is more deserving......But, umm....hey, what about me...?? :D :D

In the end, John.....the truth is, like all of us, you are full of wonderful qualities, and we love you, just the way you are.

Enjoy it in good health!!!

Actually that just means I talk a lot.

For those who didn't see it in earlier psots, this picture is of me with the tractor, before I knew anything about it being given to me. The smile is because I was so glad to see Dad's old tractor looking so good.

and here is what bud started with.

Jack,

The great thing about this project is that people contributed from New Brunswick (Northeast of Maine) to Mississippi.....from Maryland to Texas, and maybe even further west, I'm not sure of the geography of everyone on the list.

Bud and his Dad did a lot of the Gruntwork, and some of the people local to them helped a lot with that. Those of us who were too far away sent parts, or the money to pay for parts, as needed.

Don't feel bad about missing an opportunity to help.....another will come along. There have been other projects where help was needed. Just like cubfests, if you have an idea to help another member, send out the word and others will help, in one way or another........

As Rudi says, we are a family of sorts.......and family helps, when the call goes out.

This sort of thing merely underlines what I already know. We are all people of good heart here. That's what sets us apart. The fact that we all are interested in a small red tractor is dwarfed by that fact alone.

Bud Fisher Senior/Junior and Russ Leggitt are the hero’s in my opinion. They were the ones who did the Gruntwork, as Tom said. I know first hand what it takes to work on those big tractors.

When I first inspected the tractor, I looked at Bud and said “how did you do this”. He said “it was nothing to it…I couldn’t have done it without the support of you guy’s”.

John, the first time I met you, you didn’t know me from “Adam”. You asked me my name, smiled, shook my hand and said “it’s a pleasure to meet you” and gave me one of your Cub hats. That type of quality by today’s standard is very hard to find. That day you introduced me to a very fine group of people. (The Farmallcub.com family)
:D

Amanda wrote something on one of her post a while back. I could not say it better, she said; “I wish we all lived closer together”. Well, I guess until then, we are only a mouse click away!!!.
