Nice to know that the itch is catchy Looks like a nice tractor to start with. Is he going to use the cultivators manually or will you find a nice touch control to go on the Cub? Larry,
Does your Dad follow this group? If not... bring him aboard. We'd like to hear about the tiger in that Cub's tank. I know about it from the long throttle lever necessary to keep it under control. Last edited by George Willer on Mon Feb 09, 2004 10:40 am, edited 1 time in total.

Jack, the seller says its a '48...I'll know for sure once I double-check the serial #. The white on the tire is chalk marking a crack. It "sat-up" for a while, the tires went flat, and well...you know what happens to'em.
Rudi, we will keep the hand lift. I asked Dad today what he wanted to do with it as far as fixing it up. He said, "I want to go all the way" George, I didn't notice the long lever...is there a story here "Never forget where it is you come from, or you may find yourself someplace you don't want to be"

CB, even though it is already taken aoart, my cub is NOT a donor tractor

There must be a story, but we'll depend on you to find it. George Willer

John, you have no worries. Your cub will be at my house while dad's will be 7 miles to the north, at his house. I do wonder, what would happen if I accidently put some of "Miss B's" parts on your cub

Hey CB,
Glad to see that Mr. Bud is now a bonafied "CUBBER". I am sure you both will have many a happy hour working on it together. I am sure that this means two (2) trailers to Cubarama this year!!!! You might end up with a "B" CUB instead of an "F" CUB if you use parts off Ms "B".
The 4 speed transmission would be an improvement, possibly the bigger engine? "The Constitution is not an instrument for the government

Hey Russ,
Looks like I am going to be looking for a gooseneck trailer and Chevy HD The trailer we have will haul two cubs....looks like my '55 Lo-Boy (Happy) and my 102 cub cadet will be staying home this year. "Never forget where it is you come from, or you may find yourself someplace you don't want to be"

Hey C-B
If it was not a throw-away line and you are really looking for a Chevy HD, and looking new, holler, & I'll come up with a "GM in My Driveway" cert if you can convince a dealer you are a current owner of a non-GM vehicle. GM is VERY big on 'conquest sales', so we have these certs to give to anyone who can use them. Good for $1,000.00. Current GM owners can claim brand loyalty and get discounts that way. It would really be neat if you Good Samaritins could benefit from GMs promotion! We builkd about 1,000 a day here at Ft. Wayne Assy. Don't currently build many HDs, but have built thousands. Enjoy, and Thanks for thinking GM! One of the few advantages of growing older is that I finally realized that I haven't made ALL the stupid mistakes! Yet!
Larry in IN,
Thanks for the offer but, I bought my last new truck in 1996. I have owned four GM trucks since 1992. I currently have my eye on a used 2001 HD2500 4X4 crew cab. I could haul four cubs AND four cubbers Dad and I are going to get his cub this morning. I'll post a pic of the event later tonight. Thanks for building a great product, here in America, (Canada too!) It's all I've ever owned. 2001 Z71 Ex-cab currently. It'll pull a few cubs as well if you can get them on the trailer. It also helps when one's father-in-law works for GM. (Generous Motors) HR
