On a 3 point hitch I have on one of the arms the ball were you hook up to a implement its missing can the ball be replaced or does the whole arm have to be replaced.

Re: 3 point hitchReplace the ball, weld a small bead around the opening, and peen it in to hold the ball. I think Shoup has the balls.

Re: 3 point hitchOften implement dealers have stub arm ends about 3-4 inches long with the ball. The stub is welded to the existing arm after cutting the old end off.

Re: 3 point hitchYou can also get just the round portion, with the ball in it to weld to your old arm. Don't know if they still do, but TSC had both styles a while back.
Re: 3 point hitchJust cut a piece out of the end of the loop, heat and bend the two together and weld it shut. Usually no need to replace the ball.
