H4 magneto help

Postby klyant » Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:12 pm

I have an H4 mag I was planning on selling. I replaced the coil, points, condensor. Even replaced the wire from the points to the condenser. it has a fairly decent magnet. It won't spark a bit!

I can shock myself if I put my hand on the coil.

I have worked on magnetos before and never had one that wouldn't work after replacing all these parts. I've had magnetos with weaker magnets than this one that shot fire like crazy.

I've spend over $100 on this thing  :(

any ideas??

Try dressing the points, some come with a coating on them that prevents good contact.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
