Are the people who pop up with their name in Pink color on the forum new members? I notice that later on, their name goes from pink to blue...

I noticed that, if you go to "who is online" it shows as "Newly registered users" in pink.

I think they stay Pink till they are verified not to be spammers.

Yes, recent change to combat spammers. New members are pink. The first post has to be looked at and approved before it can be seen by anyone other than a mod. After approval, he must log in again before the color changes. New members aren't able to use the PM system either.
