Elephant Garlic

Postby Eugene » Sun Jun 17, 2012 9:10 pm

Picked one elephant garlic plant this afternoon. 2 years old. Cloves slightly larger than a ping-pong ball up to slightly smaller than a tennis ball.

Roasted the garlic in the oven. Not bad, actually pretty good tasking. Tastes some where between onion and garlic.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Sounds like you guys should be vampire-free for at least the next 6-8 months! :D

Never heard of elephant garlic but it sounds pretty good!

My sister grew some elephant garlic and she took it to the local farmers market. Bad mistake, she sold it all.
