Last Friday my brother-in-law Ray started expanding his driveway for his business. This necessitated removing about a foot of topsoil from his lawn - about an area of 1500 square feet or so --- approximately the size of our garden. Now, our garden hasn't been producing as well the last couple of years and we have known that we need some amendments. This seemed to be the perfect opportunity. Em and Abbigail took the video from the back deck.
Ellie got to stretch her legs a bit and I got to practice dozing with my Cub. I still find it difficult as the controls seemed to be reversed but the longer I worked at it, the smoother it got.
I ended up with about 4 hours of seat time, enjoyed it and my garden now has a new layer that will need some more leveling then some discing and such. Right now it is frozen so it will have to wait until next week when the temps go above 0C again for a couple days.

Nice! I just wish we could get some colder weather. We were at 83 degrees around 3 pm today. It's not looking like it will be a white Christmas for us.
