Serial number ID

Postby AllanD » Wed Mar 18, 2015 6:37 pm

The plate under the seat on my Super A was coated with a thick coat of paint. I used some paint remover and scraping until these numbers showed up. I didn't see the letters FAA. I know the 1540 is max idle RPM and by my books 314113 indicates a 1951 tractor. Do you all agree?

I despise that style of serial number tag--or more specifically the way they engraved the tag. Based on my experience, you got lucky that you could see all the numbers!
