Hose clamps

Postby goxu1 » Sun May 26, 2024 7:11 am

Just wondering if the “Wittek” brand of hose clamps that are available now are made by the original manufacturer?
The reason I ask is that my cub had a crusty set on it when it bought it and the new set I got recently seem “cheap” in comparison.
Cripes - I thought I'd never get one.

Everything is of a lesser quality than it was 60 - 70 years ago.

I’ve always tried to salvage original clamps. It’s the same for working on classic cars, the reproductions are cheap looking by comparison and are likely from an overseas source. I run them through the blast cabinet and paint them with an appropriate argent paint.
