Re: Farmall cub gas filler neck
On the tank I would just get a better tank. You may have sealing problems with the gas cap. Do you do any welding?

I believe hood and gas tank are one piece.gas tank has only a few rust spots on inside.hood and gas tank are in very good shape on outside, either mig or tig weld another filler neck.filler neck supply has new neck if they have the right o.d.

My 57 lo boy with fast hitch has a c2 mower on it and works fine. The pull bar is moved all the way to the right to give better belt clearance.

Re: Farmall cub gas filler neck
A lot of old pickups and cars used the same cap as a Cub. If you have a salvage yard near you this could be an option. Surprisingly some of the old gas necks are in pretty good shape.

Re: Farmall cub gas filler neck
to use the c2 on a fast hitch requires a different mule drive and a right angle pto drive to clear the fast hitch on a farmall cub, loboys are different

Following up on Filler Neck Supply, they have a bunch of options here: https://www.fillernecksupply.com/industrial-and-machine-bayonet-quarter-turn-filler-necks-caps/. However I think a different gas tank/hood is a better answer. No matter how safe you are, welding on a potential bomb it not a risk I'm willing to take, when much safer alternatives are readily available.
