Cub Points Wrench

Postby Barnyard » Sun Oct 14, 2018 11:07 am

Gary Dotson, Steve Butram and I spent this past week at the Portland Indiana Swap Meet. At one vendor I saw Steve and Gary rooting through a two gallon plastic pail and picking out wrenches. After they went up to pay for their purchase I went over to see what was in it. It contained 11/32 wrenches. This is the size used for adjusting points that many cub owners don't have. After seeing what was left I asked the guy what he would take for all of them. He tossed me a nice price so the few that were left are now resting in my shop. :{_}:

These ARE NOT for sale. Simply see me at a CubFest and if there are any left I will generously transfer one to your hand cost free. By the way, Gary and Steve tossed their purchase back into the bucket so the freebie is also shared by them.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

When you say adjusting points I assume you mean changing points? All I have worked on used a screwdriver to adjust. I have made the 11/32 wrench for the nuts on the distributor and magneto by taking a 5/16 wrench and a giving it a very brief touch on the inside with a thin cut off disk in a grinder.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
