Hey gang,
Looking at an International Cub that was rolled on it's side. It's on an auction, so I might not get it if it goes for too much.
What should I look for if and after I buy it? I wish I could go take a look at it before I bid, but it's about 300 miles from me in Pendleton, IN. I figured with the fact that it's been rolled on it's side, it shouldn't be too bad. But just wanted an idea what I should look for and what I'm getting into.

Re: After a Roll Over
If it stayed running for long after the roll, it could have starved for oil. Most likely died after the float bowl dried out though.

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Re: After a Roll Over
Pretty much my thoughts. 600 miles round trip, two or three days time and additional expense, auction, tractor condition unknown.inairam wrote:That is a lot of driving for a maybe. There have to be more Cubs closer
I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: After a Roll Over
Yep, that's the critter. Can't seem to find one locally in my price range. That's why I'm resorting to going longer distances for a project in my price range.

Re: After a Roll Over
What your price range. It your r willing to drive that far I may have a runner.
600 mile pulling a trailer real cost I put at $600 between gas, time were and tearr. This cheap
cub is not as cheap as you think.

Re: After a Roll Over
I'm guessing this cub will not go very cheap. Seems like on these online auctions things always bring more than their true value. Time will tell, happy bidding.

This seems high but really he's on the money. Depending on the vehicle, my 03 Tahoe got 12mpg pulling my cub and 16ft trailer. Just figure on 1 blow out on the trailer. Chances are probably not but then again I try to keep good tires on a trailer. Gonna buy at least 2 meals while out and that's if you make it a single day trip and by yourself.

Re: After a Roll Over
I look at it as if I have to pay someone to do it. That is what my time is worth in hauling Plus you have the time at the auction - 4-8 hours. 10 hours driving plus 4-8 at the auction. Long day for a possible dry hole.
Look for something closer to home and not at an auction
