Hello everyone,
The oil filler and breather tube on my cub appears to be too short. The cap interferes with the hydraulic lines when putting it on and taking it off. It can be somewhat difficult to take off. Is this normal or is the tube too short?
Thanks

Re: Oil filler and breather tube
Hi,
The dipstick should come out without hitting the Touch Control tubes, it is usually close though.
The Cub engines had the short dipstick and tube until later in 1956.
If the breather hits the Touch Control tube too much, you can spring the tube, and bend it a little, support it at the pump end, so it doesn't break the weld there, it is welded to the block that bolts to the pump.
Below are pics from TM Tractor, you can measure your tube down into the block, and see if it is the right length.
