Woods L59 Mower Value
What's the value of a very nice, almost looks like new, Woods L59 mower worth? I've got one and I'm thinking of selling it. I'm just looking for a fair price for both buyer and seller. Thanks.

Re: Woods L59 Mower Value
L 59 is left hand rotation, if you have the mounting brackets for a cub, you would have to reroute the belt to reverse the rotation. you need a woods 59 which is right hand rotation for a Cub
Ricky, what does it fit?

I always thought that my Cub had a Woods L59. But I just checked and it is a 59-C-2.

You're right it is a Woods 59 not an L59. It came off of a regular Cub. I snapped a couple of pictures this evening. It hasn't been cleaned up yet but it should shine up real nice. It looks a lot better than the pictures show.

Hi,
The mower looks good in the pics Ricky.
Below are 3 listings from Rudi's manuals with L, it shows them for LoBoys.
Woods L59 C-1 for IH Cub Lo-Boy
Woods L59 C-2 for IH Cub Lo-Boy
Woods L59 CF-2 for IH Cub Lo-Boy with Fast Hitch
Below is info from Woods. Some models of L mowers fit other models of tractors.

What's is it worth ? In my area, it would fall in the 350 dollar range, just can't get big dollars anymore.

Re: Woods L59 Mower Value
I think KY Cub has a dollar figure that is pretty close to a Michigan price. I'l probably advertise it a bit higher to end up at KY Cub's number.

Here in NEPA, I would value it at 400.00. Cuz it looks in nice shape.

Re: Woods L59 Mower Value
I am assuming you've got all of the other parts for attaching and running, just not in picture.
I believe mine is a similar age model and l can tell you l replaced the belt and side skids this year, and those parts alone were close to $300.
I would start at $500 and negotiate accordingly.
From what l've observed on here most people use their cubs for either mowing or snow removal. Since Woods doesn't make these any more and they are such good "finishing" mowers, l'd jump on it at $500 in that conditon if l was in need.

Why is there never enough time to do the job right, but always enough time to do it over.
