Shipping Parts

Postby goxu1 » Wed Jan 29, 2020 4:42 pm

Has anyone got any experience on shipping parts across the country.
I may need to get some parts from 1 of our preferred suppliers to a port
It would be on a pallet but heavy
Paul
Cripes - I thought I'd never get one.

I have used Fastenal to ship a plow. Fastenal is a hardware/fastener company that has retail locations in the US. Whatever you ship with them must be palletized so that it can be loaded and unloaded with a fork lift. Their prices are reasonable, but you have to bring the item to one of their locations and pick it up from one of their locations on the other end. That may present an issue getting it from Fastenal to the port.

Usually the commercial suppliers have contracts with the freight companies, ask the supplier what shipping will cost.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

JP Tractor parts have some parts I was interested in.
I need to get it from them to a port on the east coast (not sure which 1 yet)
and then ship to Australia
