Where the gas line connects to the carb it is stripped. Does anyone on this site still repairs these? It has been a while since I last posted, just retired in August 2019 wanting to start working on my cubs again. Thank you for your time.

If anyone here repairs them, I'm sure they'll chime in. It seems that a helicoil repair is popular. http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=104765&p=829531

You could also try the ol' JB weld repair: http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=139&t=100192&p=791631

Re: Carb Inlet Stripped
There is a helicoil repair available, but it requires some special tooling that only a handful of forum members have. If interested, one of the carb gurus might let you ship them your carb body, and they could make the repair. See if someone chimes in with such an offer.

Re: Carb Inlet Stripped
Alternate to helicoil. Purchase a 5/16 compression union and rethread one side with a 1/2x20 die nut. Seal this re-threaded side into your carb with JB WELD or thread sealer of choice. Reconnect the fuel line to the other side of the union with the other compression nut and ferule.

Re: Carb Inlet Stripped
I use someone in Michigan who remanufactures the carb. Fixes all of the treads, replaces the hardware with ss and rebuilds the carb. The carb are more remanufactured than rebuilt and are like new. He is expensive at ~$200 for a beater carb less for one in better shape. I have sent many to him and have been very happy. all of my IH carb cubs start right up. PM me if you want his contact info.
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
