Mower Question

Postby Dadsfarmalls » Thu May 07, 2020 5:57 pm

I'm needing to hook-up a mower deck to the cub. Dad had 2 different ones but doesn't look like he had manuals on either of them. This is the one I was hoping to hook up. Does anyone happen to know what kind it is so I can try to find a manual or something for it. Also I was was wondering what the long bar off the back of it was for. Thanks!

Woods 59. If you still have the PTO guard, the complete model number will be on there.

So far, Paul and Ringo have arrived. John and George were supposed to follow ages ago, but apparently have gone awol. Long story.

There is a piece that sticks down vertically from the mule drive with several holes in it. The long bar off the back of the mower goes through one of those holes, and is the rear pivot. Pick whichever hole results in the mower hanging slightly lower (1/2”?) in front than in the back when positioned at mowing height for best cutting.

I can take a picture for you in the daylight tomorrow, if someone doesn’t beat me to it.

Hi,
Below is the Woods 59C-2 Mower owner's manual, if you didn't find it.

http://www.farmallcub.info/galleries/oe ... _Mower.asp

The rear drive parts, number 20 in the pic on page 8 of the manual, bolt onto the IH drawbar brackets. The IH drawbar has to be in place, at the rear of the Cub, to use the mower. :)

Here’s a back view if the mule drive and what happens with the tail.
