I would like some advice about my Cub Loboy. I have a Danco C3 mower and a two blade mower. The Cub Loboy struggles with the Danco C3 mower. Would I be better off fixing up the two blade mower? I'm attaching some pictures of the two blade mower. Thank you

Cub shouldn't struggle with the mower.

Condition of the engine, compression, timing, etc..

:Dito: i have a loboy with the 59" three blade mower , cutting my grass for 7-8 years now. 2nd gear no problem . thick st augustine grass. Its usually little things together , low compression ( valves sticking ) , with timing a little off , carb a little off , govenor a little stuck , ect...coppersmythe..............PS: i have the mower deck like yours in the picture , it struggles too , if all the things above are off .

As long as you stay on top of the grass with a finish mower the Cub should be a able to keep up. Do a turn-up including valve adjustment. Make sure the blades are sharp.

A well-turned cub could be marginal with the finish mower If you are trying to go into the deep stuff or you missed a week or two.

I was able to cut the grass pictured with a wood 42 which has the breakaway blades ( hinged not fixed). I would have had a hard time with a finish mower doing this.

if your cub is running well and in good shape, the C3 mower used a 8" PTO pulley, If you swap it for a little smaller pulley such as the 6.5" woods uses the cub does not hardly even know the mower is on it, I have done this on several and it works great
