A few days ago I placed an order with TM for a single part. Later on that day, I realized that I needed another item. Knowing that I placed my order late in the afternoon, I figured it wouldn't ship until the next day. I emailed Ron and asked him to include the additional item with the order I placed earlier in the day and told him to add it to the credit card used for the original order.
I didn't hear back from Ron the next day so I emailed him back and said that since I hadn't heard from him, I assumed that my request didn't happen. Ron emailed me back right away and apologized for missing my email message from the evening before and told me he'd put one in the mail and ship it to me free of charge. I told him I certainly didn't expect a free part, that I had hoped to get both items and only pay shipping once. I told him that I would gladly pay for the part if he wouldn't mind paying the shipping which he happily agreed to. It's hard to beat that for customer service!!

Re: TM Customer Service
I just got an order today from TM. Though I had paid the shipping quote Ron figured a cheaper shipping method and refunded me $10.
Nobody does that. He also got the order out really quickly.
Note that the original delivery date was over a week ago. With the present situation it appears the postal service is struggling. Everything I’ve ordered from anywhere has arrived much later than expected, so be forewarned on that.

Don't say that! I'm hoping my order from TM arrives tomorrow or Saturday.

Post office struggles to get packages to where they need to be in good times. They’ve gotten awful around these parts the past several years.

Re: TM Customer Service
Yes, shipping has been slow lately. With this Corona thing, everyone is buying on line. McMaster Carr ALWAYS delivers next day! Not this week! It took 3 days. I buy a lot of stuff on Ebay, some items come pretty quick, others seem to take forever. I think some sellers use the Corona excuse to drag their feet shipping items. Around here, USPS does an excellent job delivering in a timely manner. The least reliable is Fed Ex.

Re: TM Customer Service
I just have to put my 2 centavos in. Our mail service here has always been excellent. My only complaint is they cut the window hours several years ago. I have a P.O. Box since the mail truck doesn't deliver in the village. If I get there before the mail is all sorted they will check to be sure I don't have anything else. I cannot believe how fast some things arrive! I expect to read of a huge crash and fight between USPS and UPS drivers racing to get there first. John

Re: TM Customer Service
Speaking of service, I ordered an alternator from Charlies Repair on tuesday afternoon, he said he would have it out on Wednesday. I got it in the mail thursday, and I live in MA. it was delivered by the mail. I also ordered some paint on Ebay on the 29th and still am waiting on the 15th. It was promised
to be delivered between the 4th and the 6th, they did not say what month.

Re: TM Customer Service
Great story about TM. That level of service is generally missing today. I recently sent a 2 day priority mail package it took it 10 days to go 300 miles....
