It’s as belt that’s perfectly round. What can I say? I could snap a pic of it but it’s black, about 3/4” thick, it’s round and endless like any V-belt would be but it’s round.

Other than on small appliances, I don't recall encountering any round belts but when I was young, we had a JD 12A combine, one of the belts on it was 6 sided (Hex shaped) and operated in a figure 8 sort of arrangement. I could see a belt of that type working well on a belly mower, only it would be cost prohibitive.

Thanks Jim I am learning even when I am getting older! I have never seen a ROUND belt before. It definitely shows that everything has been tried in the past.

they are more common than you think, used a bunch in hay equipment, I have new idea hay rakes that use round belts
