Recently I picked up a 4' grading box for a fast hitch. I really like it and the cub can pull full and dig with little effort. I used a lot this weekend to fix ruts in a few fields.
I think I know the answer to this but I thought I would ask - Is there a way to "float" the fast hitch for grading?

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Yes. Move the collar forward on the lift rod
Edit: and if you want the ends of box to follow grade, then remove or loosen the lock lever on the diagonal link

Re: fast hitch float for grading
Hi,
Move the collar near the rear of the lift rod about 6" ahead, then the Fast Hitch can float up and down.
It is sort of easy to bend the lift rod if you apply down pressure with the hitch, the lift rod is not really meant to apply much down pressure.

Wow, I did not think it was possible.
I guess if you use a rear mower you should have it float as well. right?

Yes. Basically it should float at all times on the lift rod. Down pressure is not required for most applications
Thanks for posting the pic, Don

Thanks a lot. I am excited to give this float option a try.
