Sad News from Deep South

Postby brichter » Fri Jul 10, 2020 11:47 am

I hate to have to inform all our friends of the passing of fellow member, Roy Edenfield, otherwise know as Mister E. He succumbed to pancreatic cancer on July 9,at about 8:20. Mister E was known for being the master host at one of the premier events known as Deep South Cub Fest. Remember his family in your prayers.

So sad to hear the news. I had gotten the news late last night. I had been in contact with his daughter the other day and she said he was not well. Thanks for letting us know. Rest in Peace my friend!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thanks Billy Ray--that is tough for sure. Knew something wasn't right following some of the earlier Facebook posts but what a jolt. He was one in a million and we have his family in our prayers. He will be missed--what an understatement. Hard to find words at the moment. God Bless.

What a great loss for his family as well as our cub family. He was a good host but also a good friend. I can proudly say I never missed a one of his cubfests.
God bless Ms Mary and family.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I had tried to make it to the DSCF for the past couple of years, but time never worked in my favor. I'm now doubly sorry that I was not able to make it. Mr. E. was one of the great ones in this hobby and helped me many a time.

God bless him.

Along with losing a good cub and antique tractor fan I lost a dear friend. I will truly miss Roy and the chats we had. Rest in peace my friend!
