Anyone know the bulb number for the red lens socket in the dual bulb rear tail light? I need to find something in 12 volts that fits that socket.

Re: Tail light bulb
Steiner shows it as bulb # 53, or JD AB2599R. Not sure if that's what you need or not.

Re: Tail light bulb
Parts lookup shows bulb #209 for 6v and #1003 for 12v for the "Combination Rear Light and Tail Light - Sealed Beam" but I'm also not sure if that's what you need or not.

Re: Tail light bulb
I'll check that out, Bob. I just found and fitted a BS9s 5W bulb from my British car stash and it fits. That must be the socket number.
The 1003 has a 15s (15 mm) base. That would be too big for the socket.

To summarize:
Teardrop lamp main lamp: 6-volt 1133, 12-volt 1143
Bullet lamp on top of teardrop lamp: 6-volt 63, 12-volt 67
Jewel lamp insert in teardrop lamp: 6-volt 51, 12-volt 53
Red-only tail lamp: 6-volt 63, 12-volt 67
Sealed beam unit, white only: 6-volt 373661R91, 12-volt 373662R91
Sealed beam unit, combo lamp: 6-volt 371458R91, 12-volt 371461R91
Lamp inside combo sealed beam lamp: 209, 12-volt 1003
Safety flasher: 6-volt 1129, 12-volt 1156
I've seen trade numbers for the regular sealed beam units, but don't have them right now. I don't think I have seen trade numbers for the combo sealed beams.

Re: Tail light bulb
Bob I used one of these LEDs for that application. Was happy with it.

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
