Need grease advice

Postby CubClub40351 » Thu Sep 03, 2020 6:52 pm

Is this is a suitable grease for both the grease ports on the body and for packing the wheel bearings?

I'd use it for both. Some will say that you shouldn't mix grease types. I do and have not ever had an issue. Maybe I have been lucky?

I use FS Lubriplate Green or Lucas Oil Extra Duty Green on all equipment across the farm.

More equipment has been damaged from lack of grease, than mixing it. JMHO. Use any good quality multipurpose, and you’ll be fine.

I use this. It is a gray color. I like it for the Moly.

to grease the throw out bearing on the cub you want to use cheap grease so it melts for the bearing graphite to absorb it, the grease you show is great but will not melt, but the TSC $1 a tube grease, has a green label

Moly grease gets my vote. TSC has there own brand of moly grease too. In severe heavy duty applications I use grease for earth moving equipment.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
