1950 cub?

Postby Garyp2 » Wed Sep 09, 2020 7:18 am

I am working on a cub tractor I cannot find any serial number plate on this tractor, the engine casting ends with the letter T so I assume 1950? Any other ideas on how I can verify this?

Engine serial number can put it close.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi,
Below is a post I made telling about casting codes, you can identify if the castings on the Cub are all the same year. It is the 2nd post on the page.
Sometimes if the Cub was built at the beginning of the year, it could have 1 or more castings from the year before.

Below is a page from the 1950 Cub operator's manual, showing where the engine serial number is. :)

this is a good page to help identify the tractor http://www.tmtractor.com/id/id_001.htm
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
