100 Manure Spreader Find

Postby CSA_CUB » Sat Dec 12, 2020 2:07 pm

Well y’all, my Cub equipment collection keeps growing. Found a complete 100 Spreader in western Virginia a few weeks back and bought it sight unseen for $200. Picked it up today no rust thru all shields are there needs a complete apron chain to rust to attempt repairs. Gonna clean it up and at this point cover it the top and make a produce display for the Farmers Market. Mar put a chain on it and spread compost not manure over our vegetable fields next fall. Here’s some photos for y’all.

If the apron chain links aren't worn half way through on the bottom side, you might be able to replace a few bad links, oil it and use it. A replacement apron chain is pricey.

Very nice find and at a bargain price. Your spreader is a later one, earlier ones had spoke wheels.

Bob, they are worn they at all. Just rusted totally away. Previous own liked putting raw manure it from his horse barn until he’s had enough to spread vs letting it age before spreading and we all know what acidic urine will do.

I agree, you need a new apron chain.
