Will a C-3 mower from a regular cub work on a lo boy?

yes, but the mule drive is different and mounting brackets

The International C3 operators manual from 1967 says it will!

Yes. But it shows use of 3 different sets of mounting brackets and related parts. One each is for the Lo-Boy, and the standard Cub with or without Fast-Hitch.
