Cub-22 Pitman Bearing

Postby BSFlyBoy » Wed Mar 31, 2021 8:05 am

I've been looking around trying to find the ball bearing pitman assembly, preferably new. Does anyone know if they are available anywhere?

One other question, my current wooden pitman arm is painted silver, is this correct for a 1955 Cub? Not trying to do a factory restoration, but wanting things correct as I repair/rebuild as necessary.

Thanks in advance.

I doubt you'll find the whole assembly unless you happen across a NOS. Messick's shows the bearing at about $150, but none of the rest of the assembly. I've seen the pitman stick blue, red, and natural, but never silver. I have a NOS that is unpainted, but that may not be how they came out of the factory.

Are you looking for the entire pitman assembly or just the bearing end?

Just the bearing end less the flat piece in the middle. I think that piece is in good shape or I could build one if I had to.
