Hydraulics bouncing and not holding

I have a 1954 cub that I just got.the belly mover bounces when raising up.sometimes it will hold when you rev the motor. Also the mower deck will only go all the way up or all the way down.no half way nothing. Just 2 positions. What do I need to do to fix? I checked the fluid and I know for sure it’s good. Thanks

Check the nuts where the rod from the touch control lever passes through the linkage on the touch control block. If they aren't tight the linkage could slide on the rod preventing the control valve from responding to motion of the rock shaft.

hydraulics are full with the piston retracted, run the touch control up and down several times with fill plug out, may be air bound
