I think you'll find with the 8/24 tires you'll be right close to the 6".

The 174 planter book says spacing will increase 10% for 9/24 tires.

Going from 6 to 8 is a 33% increase!

You might want to change your sprocket set-up to the 8" book spacing.

Do you have a great (big) selection of seed plates to fine tune your seed to plate fit?

Nothing worse than throwing a lot of double (or tripple) seeds out from one cell!

Something else to think about when working up a plant population!

I thought it said 8/24 tires, thanks for correction.
I have sm, Med, and large seed plates for corn, 16 cell
I planted the seeds. So I will have to wait and see how it comes up
