New life for old Fast Hitch

Postby Bradlycj » Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:37 pm

I'm sure this has been covered before but I just wanted to share a project of mine that has made my Cub much more useful around the property. As we all know Fast Hitch implements are few and far between, add to that the $$$ if you can can find what you're looking for. I noticed there are a large selection of implements being made that are intended for use behind a UTV using a 2" receiver hitch, Also there cost was actually in the realm of what I could afford so I built this adapter. It's been working good for 2 years now with a rear blade, landscape rake and ripper that I bought online. These implements aren't as strong as the real thing but they are plenty good enough to get the job done and the fact the can be carried and switched out by hand is very convenient

Hey, If it works for ya.

I been kicking around the idea of making up a rear reciever hitch, but I would make mine to fit like the cub pull bar does. (But I would not be using it like you are!)

Sometimes with the fast hitch stuff, you just have to be lucky!

Dont forget you could buy or build one of those fast hitch to 3 point adapters too!

I would not mind making me one of those too!

If your driveway is gravel, which from the picture I'm assuming it is, then I could see how a blade and rake would really come in handy. Glad your fasthitch adaptor is working well for you! :-:-):

I made a hitch for ours years ago too, it works good if you don't have an extra prong or need to get stuff a tad closer to the tractor.

The problem with fh's is that the one point has too much slop in it allowing the imps. to twist! THAT is the reason I made straight 3-pt for one of mine! Tried one and wasnt the least bit happy with them! --- personal pref. I guess! lol!
