Crank pulley

Postby john2189 » Tue Jun 22, 2021 5:47 pm

If I was going to put a 154 motor in my f cub, would I have to change the crank pulley to the small one? I know I have to put a pilot bearing in if the crank is drilled for it.
If I can’t sell the 154, I’ll probably part it out, haven’t decided yet. I need the room

Flywheel on rear of crankshaft. Some numbered Cub's crankshafts have been drilled for the pilot shaft. If so, you need the bushing.

Pulley on front of crankshaft. Keyed and press fit. No bushing.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Yes, you would have to change the pulley to the smaller one, the 154 pulley is too large for the space available.
