Fuel Life

Postby Pap » Sat Aug 07, 2021 3:58 pm

I am wanting to know if anyone has used Fuel Life. Made by B3C Fuel Solutions. I am going to try it I was just wondering if anybody has used it before. I am hoping it does what it is supposed to do. I can't find any reviews on it.

Thanks for your help.

It must be a very new product. A google search only turns up Home Depot as a seller. Unless the filters are rated by how many gallons they protect, I don't see how they can give a 2 year life on gasoline.

I don't know how good they are going to work. The package has on it that it will be protect up to 5 gal for up to 2 years. And if you use it for normal use, replace every year.
I put one in my generator and when I get through with my cub I think I might put one in it. I know that it is not going to be used a lot.
I don't think that this stuff is going to hurt it.
I hope...
I guess I will find out.

Not famil;iar with this Fuel Life, but I put some Sea-Foam in my Cub and other equipment that is going to set for a while. Never have had any problems with fuel, and I use Ethanol in everything.

This is what I use in my boat. I use it also in my tractors along with marvel mystery oil.
I believe it leaves an oil film in the combustion chamber preventing rust and keeps seals in the carb from drying out.
For smaller engines I drain the tanks down to near empty, add a little marvel, start it and let it run dry. Everything fires back up the next season or more without issue since I’ve been doing this.

Go right ahead, that's how they get rich. Maybe they will come up with an app that will tell your phone when it's time to add another.

I only use non oxygenated gas in my cub , all small engines, boats , pontoon, ect. , never have had a problem from season to season storage and useage. It's a little more pricy at the pump but I think we'll worth the extra cost. Even small engines with 40 to 1 or 50 to 1 mix. I use non oxygenated.

I looked at their patent (9,149,788). The product is a small quantity of activated charcoal inside a filter that allows the gas to contact the activated charcoal but keeps the charcoal from dispersing into the gas. The patent says in part: "It is believed that the activated carbon reduces or prevents the formation of gums, by eliminating reactive oxygen, such as peroxides, from the fuel."

It is unclear to me how that removes water. Johnny Carson used to say "If you buy the premise, you buy the bit."

Thanks Jim.
You did the research and sounds like I might have some " snake oil ". Well I think that I will just leave it in my generator maybe it won't hurt anything.

Thanks again Jim.
