The one in the Facebook ad is for a flat belt. Yours is for a v-belt. The gearbox is the same, however.

There's one here in this pile with the v-belt pulley, and you'd get a lot of extra goodies along with it!! Assuming it's still available, it's been listed for a while, so you might even get the price lower!

The wide belt pulley can be removed and replaced with your pulley as long as the splines are good on both.

Hi,
J P Tractor Salvage, at the bottom of the page, might have a used Belt Pulley Attachment, that is what IH calls it in the Cub parts manual. :)

Just wanted everyone to know I picked up the coupling from JP tractor salvage. They were very easy to deal with.

Okay guys I tried to weld the coupler to the worn pto shaft and it just wouldn’t hold up. I am planning to go into the PTO and replace the pto shaft , and coupler and I did source a used pinion drive collar from JP tractor salvage. For you guys that have rebuilt your PTOs what all additional parts should I replace while I am pulling it apart? Also when you pull the retainer assembly does the PTO shaft and collar just slide right out? Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi,
Sometimes when I remove a Cub PTO, I need to remove the bolt holding the PTO shifter guide onto the corner of the gearshift cover, so the PTO lever will go farther ahead.
The front end PTO shaft sometimes won't come all the way out of the PTO pilot bushing, or the pin that runs in the slot on the PTO clutch won't come out of engaged, without the PTO lever going farther ahead.
Below is the Cub and LoBoy service manual. I would read section 6A, the PTO section before working on the PTO.
There is a contents beginning on page 1 of most sections, that makes it easier to use online.
Disregard the info for the Belt Pulley Attachment shown in the manual if you don't have one.

Remove the transmission oil filler plug, and use a light to look in the hole, you can see the PTO clutch, and the pin that runs in the PTO clutch slot, it makes it easier to assemble the PTO again.

http://farmallcub.com/rudi_cub/www.clea ... index.html

The pin that runs in the PTO clutch slot should be a round shape, sometimes the pin wears and is flat on one side, then it needs replacing. The wear can let the PTO slip out of engaged.
The pin is part of the PTO lever and shaft.
TM Tractor has a new one, below is their listing, you can look at the pics.
The pin that wears is at the bottom of each pic.

Check the condition of the splines that run the PTO, in the PTO clutch, and on the rear end of the clutch shaft. The PTO can slip out of engaged if the splines are not good, or worn.
If you are buying a new PTO shaft, it is a good time to put on a new PTO clutch too, and a new PTO bearing, at the rear of the PTO. Buying a new bearing is easier than pulling the old bearing off the old shaft.
Sometimes the bearing is tight on the shaft.

The PTO pilot bushing is in the rear end of the long clutch shaft. The bushing can be worn and need replacing. The small front end of the PTO shaft goes into the PTO pilot bushing.

Below is a listing at TM Tractor for a new PTO pilot bushing.

Below is the page of PTO parts at TM Tractor, you can look at the pics of the parts.

http://www.tmtractor.com/new/pt/pt_001newparts.htm

Below is a pic from TM Tractor of the PTO pilot bushing in the rear end of the clutch shaft.
The end of the shaft and the bushing are above and in front of the differential.

The 2nd pic below shows inside the housing, the shaft and bushing are in the upper part of the pic.
The shifter shaft is not in the housing, it looks like.
Good luck. :)
