Re: Paint Question
He was talking about the guy that just posted about spilling gas when refilling it and he doesn't have any issue with the Rust-Oleum he used.

Re: Paint Question
Over the course of the run all Farmall Cubs did not get the same color red. IH 50 was darker than the 2150. IH 50 was used on the early Cubs...I could be mistaken. I have used both recently. I painted a fast hitch for a 1950 2150 and my 49 IH 50. Not sure why the brighter red is under the darker. May have painted a few times. What year is your Cub?

Re: Paint Question
Hi,
JimCub48, if you mean that gas splashes out of your gas cap onto the hood when you are using the Cub, look at the gas cap gasket. If it is the original cap, the gaskets can get shrunken and hard, and don't seal anymore.
It's not too safe to use the Cub with gas splashing out onto the hood.
TM Tractor has a new gasket for the original style cap, it says it is a Case IH part.

Below are pics from TM Tractor of the original style gas cap.

There is a free replacement gas cap for the Cubs, below is a link for it at TM Tractor.

The surface on the gas tank where the cap seals can get bent by someone, then the cap may not seal.
I have read on here of a straightening tool for the filler neck.
