Brillman J4 Magneto Coil
I purchased a magneto coil for a J4 Magneto from Brillman and installed it. Seems to be too tall as the coil cap will not fit now. Anyone else had this problem

Have you contacted Brillman? They need to know...

I'm going to make sure I haven't done something wrong, first. It can't go but one way.

Re: Brillman J4 Magneto Coil
Could it be possible that an H4 coil was boxed in a J4 package. I think they are slightly larger.

H4 uses a round bar for attachment. J4 is rectangular.

The one wire from coil isn't setting pinched under the coil is it?

Re: Brillman J4 Magneto Coil
Do not know if it will help, but when I replaced the J4 magneto coil (from Brilman) on my 48 Cub, I took some photos of the old coil assembly, before removal. The new coil assembly went back together without any issues. Maybe you will see something that helps.

Thanks Rick, I only remembered that they are slightly larger diameter. I don’t mess with them much so didn’t remember the round bar through the middle. Thanks for setting the record straight. I learned something in the process.
