I have seen several cubs in my life but never one with no grill. I’m wondering why that one had a solid nose?

I don't think that Stephane's Cub had a solid grille. I think it just appears that way in the video. Perhaps he will clear it up for us.

Stephane, In case you don't know, check the throw out bearing to make sure it is full of cheap (low temperature) grease. It is also best to soak it in oil for a few days before installation. A lot of the aftermarket carburetors don't have the float set correctly, so you may also want to check that. May sure you pull the two halves straight apart or you risk breaking the thin idle tube that threads into the carburetor top.

I'm not sure I've seen one in that bad of state. I wonder how to repair something like that or do you buy a replacement?
