Welcome Back. Be sure to use the correct thickness gasket. A gasket that is too thick will drop the oil pressure because it increases the space of the cavity that the pump runs in. JMHO Stan

The oil pump gasket is only about .004 inch thick. 1mm is too thick.

......Here's the gasket part number listed by TM Tractor. It does not show the thickness but it's very thin. Someone has said that it's about the thickness of a writing paper. Probably a search of this forum would tell the technical data. http://www.tmtractor.com/new/en/258fp.htm

EDIT: Here's a link to an old post by a forum member: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=72628&p=584499&hilit=oil+pump+gasket+thickness#p584499 I also discovered that we have posted about this subject a couple of years ago. Stan

Hi,
It looks like you are putting the head on the engine.
The head bolts need non hardening sealer put on the lower 3/4" of the threads before putting them in.
The bolt holes go into the water jacket, and water can run up the threads and leak out, without sealer.
Below is a pic of one product that works good for the head bolts, Permatex Aviation Form A Gasket.
It is sold at auto parts stores here in the USA. If you buy one, stir it before using it, it can settle in the can when sitting.
Below is a page from the Cub service manual, GSS-1411, showing the head bolt torque sequence.
https://farmallcub.com/rudi_cub/www.cle ... -01-14.jpg
I would read the engine section in the manual, if you haven't.
The manual is at the top of the page at Cub Info, then go to Rudi's Manuals.
Tighten the bolts gradually. I would tighten them to 25 ft lbs, then 35 ft lbs, then 45 ft lbs, each time following the torque sequence.

Before putting in the head bolts, remember there is a holder for the spark plug wires that goes on the 3rd head bolt from the front, on the right.
Below is a listing for it at TM Tractor Parts, with pics of it, if you don't have a holder.
http://www.tmtractor.com/new/gr/359fp.htm
Maybe you knew this already. :)
