Headlight gaskets/seals
This may seem like a silly question, but we use a rubber gasket on the front of the headlight, but the rear of the flat back style headlights has a hole where the rear of the light assembly protrudes through it with a relatively good sized opening around it for water to get in. Is there supposed to be a seal back there as well or does it just remains open like that? Thanks in advance.

Re: Headlight gaskets/seals
Open. I think the gasket was originally intended as more of a shock absorber for the glass lens than as a water seal.

Ok thanks for the info. Seems like water could get in there and sit but that’s what I though.

Hi,
I looked at one of the flat back lights that I have, there is a small hole at the bottom of the round body of the light.
I suppose it is a water drain hole, in case water gets in the light.
You could look and see if your light has a hole, and if it is open.

I don’t remember seeing a hole but I’ll check again. It makes sense there might be a drain hole there.
