Hi team,
I’m in Australia and sourcing parts for the transmission in my 49 cub. I’ve managed to source locally all bearings and seals in the transmission and on the differential, the exception being the countershaft rear bearing, the small bearing inside the transmission. I have the original part number, Hyatt 1518T, but neither I or my bearing supplier is able to find a match. Does anyone have a code for another bearing supplier, such as Timkon/SKF or anyone else please that we could try and cross-reference. Otherwise, I’ll have to request another order from the US; the postage is really starting to hurt. Here’s a pic of the old one, the bearings balls were rotten in the bottom of the transmission case . Many thanks, Jason

Re: Countershaft rear bearing part number
Have you tried with the shaft diameter and the race OD measurements?

Re: Countershaft rear bearing part number
Update; I’ve just realised the bearing I’m unable to identify is actually the top transmission rear bearing, so that’s probably why I couldn’t find as I was searching for the rear countershaft bearing.
Either way, if anyone has an actual part number for timken/skf etc that would be welcomed so I can locate in Australia. Cheers. Jason

Re: Countershaft rear bearing part number
there are 2 different rear bearings, dependent upon serial # 49 will probably be the early or 1st bearing

I’ve got some leads also now from the responses for alternative suppliers, thanks again.
Cheers, Jason
