but never saw it before. A shorted, new off the shelf ignition condenser. It shows 2.0 ohms, normal reading would be 7 + megohms depending on the meter you are using.

Good habit to get into, knowing the difference between good and bad new parts. Would be a good companion to a new Champion plug I bought for my Cub. 40,000 ohms resistance brand new out of the box.
