Harvest King rear tractor tires and tread pattern?

Postby Super A » Tue May 24, 2022 6:15 am

I'm shopping for a set of 8.3-24 tractor tires for the Cub my dad and I just got. The thing is that I want to find a tread pattern that actually looks like a tractor tire. It seems like everything available is more of an European type of tread pattern, or else they look more like industrial tractor tires than farm tractor tires.

I found Harvest King Field Pro tires online that look like the Firestone Field & Road tread. Since the Cub is a 71 model, they would look "period correct" for it. Are there any other brands out there to look for? I'm going to see our tire man later in the week (hopefully) to see what he can get.

For comparison purposes, this is the type of thing I want to avoid!

They don't even show an 8.3-24 ag. tire, just turf tires.

We will buy from our local tire dealer who is usually pretty able to get about anything. Just want to know what brand(s) to ask for when we go.

thanks!

Dont forget the goodyear and if you dont mind the long bar medium bar patern of the titan (I like them)!

Titan bought the goodyear ag, but I think they are still making tires with the goodyear name on them in the original tread patters.

Firestone has their 23 II tires, but I believe the smallest is the 9.5-24 in that one! I really like the looks of those too.

Edit;

The normal looking goodyears is dura torque, not the dyna torque

I did a little browsing on the net, a couple weeks ago and it seems that there are not a lot of choices on 8.3 24 tires. The tires on Cubota are getting pretty cracked and will need to replace in the not too distant future. I have Titans on a couple tractors but they don’t seem to be available now.

I was thinking I saw a good bit of tires on the online retailer tire sites.

The Good Year dura torque is a great looking tire. I have that tire on a Leader tractor but labeled as Titan. The Titans are shown available in 8.3 x 24 but everywhere you look, they are out of stock.

I mounted some harvest king tires for a neighbor about a month ago. I am not impressed with the rubber quality compared to Firestone or BKT.

Looks like Simple tire has the Harvest Kings with 2 day delivery. Maybe you can even get a discount.
