LH Side Dresser

Postby Ohiowoodchuck » Sat Jun 11, 2022 6:57 pm

Any info on a lh side dresser for a cub. We’re the made at the factory or just something a farmer came up with. I’m interested in putting one on mine.

Hi,
Below is the operator's manual for the Cub 101A Fertilizer Unit. It has lots of info, and pics of the unit.
I don't see a manual for a fertilizer unit for the left side.

I got a fertilizer unit on the Rh side. I want to try to find one for the Lh side and use it with the existing cultivators.

Not being a troll or anything, but why would you want one on either side of a one row tractor??? You can put out enough fertilizer with the one on the right hand side to burn up anything! Haha But seriously, are you doing those micro green setup or something and doing two rows or something or is it four rows I have seen those little crop set up to do?

I fertilize both sides of the row. Just trying to save time vs making two passes to cover both sides is all.

get a stream divider , you can run one tube to the other foot . They are a bit hard to come by though.

I wouldn’t mind the stream divider. 100lbs just don’t go that far when I’m side dressing. Wish I could find one of the older 250lb cole setups.

But unless it's those really small greens that I have seen them show, you can only cultivate one row at the time right? The other rows would have to be on a drawbar system or something right?

Depends on what you have. The 252 cultivator can be used as a multi row cultivator

Hi,
Thanks SamsFarm for posting the info to find the manual.
I was looking in Rudi's Manuals, Cub Implement Manuals, the manual you posted isn't there. :)

And the 447 cultivator can do four rows! :)
