35-40 amp should be more than enough for a Cub. Self exciting, internal regulator, output at low rpm.

Check Ebay and Amazon. A lot of times the same item has different parts numbers and prices, depending on who is selling. Some sellers will pay the shipping.

Edit: Check DB Electrical.

Another edit. Most sellers for the single wire alternator provide a 12 month warranty - - free.
