Hello all,
Was wondering if anyone has a video or pictures of the belly mounted No 12 rotary hoe? I just bought one from site sponsor JP Tractor and excited to try it next summer.
Will get some pictures up soon!
Thanks

Looks like you'll be "The Man" if you post up some pics and video of it in action!
I know in this thread ⬇️, that thing lookes huge under there!
http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=96229&sid=7a6cad0473c8cf1fb8898c2cbcf43cea
Like it is barely off the ground in the full up position!

I don’t think it’s a older allis though. They still make and use rotary hoes on big farms also.

Here’s the one I was thinking of. It’s sitting under a offset Kubota. https://youtu.be/VRf0QXhj7CA

Re: No. 12 Rotary hoe attachment
Seems to me the rotary hoe is running a little on the heavy side. May just be the way it looks in the video.
The thing under the Kubota looks like a basket weeder (runs between the rows).

Re: No. 12 Rotary hoe attachment
I wonder if anyone has the pull behind weeder mulcher shown in the 144 cultivator manual? I assume it does the same thing, just using spring teeth vs a rotary. Wonder which works better? I assume the rotary hoe came later as it appears smaller, cheaper to manufacture, and easier to install/remove.

Re: No. 12 Rotary hoe attachment
Rotary hoes were used to break the crust as well as remove weeds! i can remember pulling a 4 row in road gear behind an M! Would like to find one section of one to pull behind the cub - could probably pull it in 3rd gear easily unless you added a concrete block for weight
which many farmers did!). Fab a drawbar hitch and pick it up w/a chain!

I had one and sold it to a collector out here. He has 2.
It was yard art in Connecticut and the seller had absolutely no idea what it was other than something farm related.
I had no use for it. I will use the rotary hoe though on corn next year.
