Mccormick 100 manure spreader parts

Postby M-mcdonald » Sat Aug 27, 2022 8:00 pm

Picsart_22-08-27_19-47-31-314.jpg
I found a mccormick 100 manure spreader for sale and brought it home today, unfortunately on my first pass around the field the lower cylinder sprocket (or that's what I believe it's called based on the model 200 manual) broke. Does anyone know where I can find replacement parts, either original or something similar enough to work? It haven't got a chance to pull the cover off and measure the sprocket yet but will tomorrow afternoon, I spend the last hour or so of daylight searching for the broken piece in hopes of being able to weld it back together.

So after looking again and seeing the place its broken being rusted I think it was broken when I got it. It must have worked for a short while with broken teeth until the chain jumped off.

I have a spreader that I am going to remove all the parts to use as a lawn cart because it doesn't have the apron chain and another of the chains...Let me check

That'd be awesome, if either of you are looking to get rid of other parts as well I may be interested in some spares. Thanks

FYI that was broke when you got it. No fresh marks where it's broken, it's all rusted and has been for some time.

You are correct. He mentioned that in his second post.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Matt

Hello Matt,
Just got a 100 manure spreader and may need some parts for it. Would you have the rear cover tin pieces for gears and chain drive assembly?
Thanks

I do know where there is a complete spreader. I haven't seen it in a while but do know the sides were rusty and the bottom was gone. There was a small - at that time - tree growing up thru it. Located near Richland, MI. Vern

Hi Vern,
Appreciate the response info on a possible parts 100. I am a few states south of you but would be interested to know if any contact info would be available. Thanks Dane

I will get back to you. It will be about two weeks before I will see the owner. This was a running spreader some ten years ago. The owner died a few years ago and it is his widow that has it. If you can get a gear it would be a whole lot easier and quicker to go for it. Vern
